Varsity loses to Mitty in OT

Although the season has come to an end, the Varsity Boys team left the name of our school at the top!

With solid pay from all team members, the Mustangs played to a 1/1 draw in regulation time. In overtime, the Mitty attack took advantage  of a defensive lapse and got a second and decisive goal that ended any hope of the Mustangs advancing to the championship game!… read more

Varsity advances to league semi-finals

In the Quarter-Finals of CCS , the Mustangs came alive with a terrific 5 to 1 victory away from home!

This will be the team’s third straight semi-final appearance and this time the team is attempting to make its first Final appearance in the history of the school !

With an all around great performance by every member of the soccer team and full display of offensive soccer. Seniors Eli Berman added two goals.  Amit Ben Simhon , Ian Chinn and “hello kitty” Masatoshi each added a goal to round up the scoring!

Assisting in the scoring were Seniors,  Ari Berman with three, Jack Ambach and Brian Wherner with one each.  Standouts for the game , goalkeeper Jeremy Zielinski, defenders Yaugen Aboukouski , Kyle Markley, Rohit Penamurti , Brandon Yanez and Guy Rostein!

Varsity wins 2 more and is going to the league playoffs

The Varsity team ended league play with a 1/0 victory over Gunn HS and a 3 to 1 win over Mountain View HS!

On Senior Night Eleven Seniors started their final home game and played under some wet and cold conditions that could not hold the Mustang attack!

Congratulations to the entire Varsity team for making CCS for the third straight year and playing in the newly formed Open Division.

F/S wins 1 and ties another to finish 2nd

The Homestead boy’s Frosh/Soph soccer team ended their season over the break with a 1 to 0 victory at Gunn High School and a 5 to 5 tie with Mountain View to finish in 2nd place of the DeAnza Division of the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League!

Sophomore Ryan Sato scored the winning goal against Gunn and 4 goals against Mountain View! Sophomore Lucas Decasper added another goal against Mountain View, and Chase Thesing, Nathaniel Kim, and Nikhil Maurudai had assists.… read more

F/S defeat Santa Clara

The homestead boy’s Frosh/Soph soccer team got back to their winning ways with a 4-2 victory over the Santa Clara Bruins on Wednesday night.

Sophomores Joseph Chen and Ryan Sato each scored two goals, with assists coming from Chase Thesing, Nathaniel Kim, and Sebastian Ruiz-Hurst.

Varsity defeats Santa Clara

The varsity boys team kept a solid hold on second place, behind a Hat trick by Senior Amit Ben Simhon. Amit’s goals were assisted by Eli Berman, Brian Whener and twin brother Ari Berman. The fourth goal scored was an own goal by the Bruins.

The Homestead Frosh/Soph boys soccer team suffered their first defeat of the league season losing to Palo Alto 3-0.

But with 4 games left the season, the Mustangs are still the favorites to finish first in league!

F/S ties Fremont

The homestead boy’s Frosh/Soph soccer team came from behind to tie rivals Fremont 2-2 on Wednesday to remain undefeated in the DeAnza Division.

Sophomores Joseph Chen and Lucas Decasper scored goals for the Mustangs, with freshman Yuki Ishii assisted on both goals.

Varsity ties Fremont

The Homestead Boys Varsity soccer team remain in second place, after tying Fremont to one goal apiece.  Senior Eli Berman scored the tying goal, from an assist from Ari Berman.  Although the game was played with major intensity, the Homestead squad was the superior team and missed on couple of opportunities to get the lead.
