Varsity Girls seeded first for ElCamino League tournament

The Varsity Girls finished the league season with a 13-1 record.  They finished 1st in the DeAnza division!  The end of season tournament starts Tuesday.  All games will be at Homestead.  The first game is against Milpitas at 3:15 Tuesday.

Varsity defeats Santa Clara

Girls varsity water polo continued their win streak with a 6-5 win over Santa Clara on Thursday.

Sara Amirkiai scored the first three goals, while Erin Slaney added two and Katie Snell scored one.

Ella Lewis had 3 assists, and goalie Tori Zielinski had 11 saves.

Two very competitive games stand between them and a first place ranking in the El Camino league.  Come and watch both games at Homestead next week: Harker on Tuesday, and Thursday against Saratoga for senior night!… read more

Varsity defeats Milpitas

Girls varsity water polo improved to 10-1 in league play with a decisive 13-3 win over Milpitas on Tuesday.

Seven different girls scored for the Mustangs, and the team is looking strong as they head into the final 3 league games.

Erin Slaney finished the week with 16 goals, 16 steals and three assists as Homestead defeated Wilcox, Monta Vista, Santa Catalina and Santa Teresa and lost to Lincoln-San Jose. The big week pushed Slaney’s season totals to 28 goals, 19 steals and six assists through Saturday. She scored a season-high eight goals in a 15-11 victory over Wilcox.… read more

Girls water polo beat Monta Vista Thursday afternoon at their pool by a score of 12-9.

After a slow first quarter it turned into a fast-paced high-scoring game.

Erin Slaney led the Mustangs in scoring with 6 individual goals, 2 of which were 5-meter penalty shots.

Girls varsity water polo won it’s fourth game in a row with a strong win over Milpitas.

Every field player scored in the 14-4 win, and senior Tishtar Daruwalla had 5 steals.
